I did a little mountain bike ride for a change since it was so cold. My skills are zero and my balance and co-ordination aren't much better. Bit nervous to start with as it was a bit bumpy with exposed rocks and roots but gradually started to relax and trust the bike. Can't see me getting into it seriously, but just a nice change and different workout to on the roads.

You certainly get out early. Just had breakfast and contemplating getting my warmest kit on to venture out. Lovely and sunny here but the wind is extremely cold

We managed to get confused as usual: Beautiful Wife is usually better organised than me so I forgot all about the time change, as usual, then when I remembered I assumed she'd already changed the clocks and woke everyone up an hour too early...

I had to take the light thermal gloves off half way through but a short one today, head said go but legs weren't that willing
