Don't know what's happened to my computer. Seems to have lost sound for no reason. Was working ok yesterday and this morning it can't detect any sound device
Don't particularly need it anyway but it's strange what's happened.

Alas no. It'd take more than that to stop our lads from smoking indoors. Personally I find it incredibly rude to go into a room where someone is working and just light up, but that's the culture in the workshop unfortunately.
This is also why I avoid working there unless I have to, well, that and the wonky table saw...

When I first joined the prison service it was pretty horrendous too. Especially the visit room where nearly every prisoner and visitor was smoking. Could hardly see across the room some days. Before the days when they realised how much harm was done by passive smoking.
The rain is now battering off the window. A walk isn't exactly filling me with enthusiasm!

It's astonishing how many people smoke here and how much. Of the eleven staff only three of us don't smoke, and pretty well all 40 clients do. Some have changed to the new electronic wossnames (don't know the English word for them) but many use rollups, partly because they're cheap and partly because they can add their own ingredients at home...
I can recommend one of these for such eventualities.

Arrivas(Serco-Abellios) new rolling stock. Some of which were intended for these parts, replace the Pacers which entered service in 1980 - 83. Removed from service(sent to Wales) then returned to service in recent years.
