Got kitted up and went for my walk in the rain. First mile or so never met a soul and expected it to remain like that. However, not just me that was daft out in that. Two lady runners, one male runner, one lady walking with a dog, another man I meet regularly, then a lady on a mtb with her dog then another elderly man that I stopped and chatted to. He used to jog round occasionally but has polymyalgia which gives him sore muscles so has recently given up. Still walking briskly at age 79 though.
What sort of bike was the dog on?

It didn't need a bike............it was a young and extremely fit Pointer!

Off to visit dad soon. I'll have lunch with him and a blether then get some shopping in on the way home prior to battening down the hatches for tomorrow's gale force winds.

Thought the wind was due today?
Seems to be worse down South today. Quite calm here at the moment. Worse tomorrow.

Just upset the councils highways department. Asking for something that should have been done over a year ago.

Final words, which I don't think I should have heard, "Crikey, there's something...", phone being placed back down before cutting the call.

Got asked how do you spell straight? This from a manager, who couldn't find it in a list, nor crag!!

That council department is in dire straits...
I remember our local roads department admitted that had no idea of what had been patched or relaid

It should be spelt that way, but it confused folk on the council.

Highways not knowing where major roads("A" roads) are is a first.

Morning. Think the forecast has changed slightly. I thought I might have grabbed a brief dry spell at first light but it's chucking it down.

Oh well. I'm up now so coffee and a browse and then decide if I am brave enough to don the waterproofs for a walk. Only problem is it's so unbelievably mild that I would end up boiling inside a jacket.

Do a Bob and stay in bed
