Morning tea people.

We're snowed in. Five inches lying on our untreated lane, and we're a mile and a half from the nearest treated road. Do-able if necessary, but you risk not being able to get back as the snow continues falling. My wife's school is shut. It isn't going to affect me one iota.

Good morning all:hello:
Some one has burst the sky and left us snow. Not much really but enough to get the snowflake generation into a panic:hyper:

You'll still go for the ride on your bike then.

Last night and tonight, they've moved it back again.

Really funny an hour ago. We were out walking the dog when we came across a flash Mercedes sports car stopped on an incline. He was stuck. Low profile tyres (semi slick things) and an automatic gearbox with all sorts of electronic gizmos meant he didn't actually have control of the speed his driven wheels turned. Even with us pushing, he couldn't get the thing moving. As we were farting about trying to get him away, a Morris Minor came merrily chugging past up the hill, with no problems at all!!! Brilliant.

In the end, we got someone else to help push, and told the driver how to get himself back on to a treated road ASAP.

Important part, did you charge for getting him out and then telling him where to go?

Thanks for the condolences all. @welsh dragon It most definitely is. The funeral was yesterday, lovely service, befitting the light that has now been tragically extinguished in all of our lives. The truck has been found and was seized as evidence and as of this morning, is being examined - no word yet on any arrests, but the driver and the truck were located together, so I can only imagine that announcements regarding his arrest are forthcoming.

Unfortunately, several of my friends on social media have taken to posting the suspect's photo on their pages and speculating about charges and that sort of stuff. I've asked them to refrain from doing so. They feel as though once again, there will be no justice -- as the young man involved was First Nations, and the RCMP don't exactly have a good track record of delivering justice in high-profile cases involving First Nations peoples. I get their grief and their anger and their yearning for justice, I just wish they'd let the RCMP do their work without speculating and most definitely without posting photos of the suspect online.

@classic33 Thank you.
