Yip, it's looks like the commute will be a pleasure this morning.
I'm even going to peg oot a washing this morning. Only the third this year so far cause of the variable weather.
Oh you can tell I'm getting in the mind-set for Higher Biology this afternoon.

I do believe it is the official name for a blood pressure monitor. Lol.

Nice 30 mile tootle on the hybrid and now having brekkie followed by a dog walk then getting the hair chopped later. Can't wait as it is really annoying me. Wonder if I should buy a colour and get rid of the gray for a while.

OK, train advice required (@the_mikey, @172traindriver, @classic33 - or anyone else who wants to chip in!) please.

In August the CC Tour is cycling to Inverness, myself and Junior Fu then need to get back to Fife (Inverkeithing is our closest main station) with our bikes on Monday 17 August - cheapest fare at present seems to be £76.20 (trainline, redspottedhanky).

Should I:
a) bite the bullet and book as early as I can;
b) wait until nearer the time and see if any cheaper fares come up;
c) leave it until the day and chance it;
d) use some other convuluted route of railcard, etc (we are both students, not sure if that counts for anything?)

There's no real rush to leave on the Monday though would obviously prefer to get going as soon as - additional complication is getting the bikes on board.

Thoughts???

Have you tried combinations of tickets. Several shorter journeys. You can sometimes get several tickets that add up to less than the direct ticket.
