I'm calm and pleasant when obviously the person on the other end hasn't a scooby...
but you gotta give the kudos for trying...
I dealt with 2 UK call centres today and service was excellent from them and prompt..
I love calling EE who go through the spiel , 50p and you can jump the queue blah blah and 10 sec later, you get through instantly.
I always head to the bit where you are going to leave whatever it is, they always get answered first and then get put through.....

The sizing on cycling shorts is rubbish. Mine are tenn 3/4 . The size is medium but it says the actual size is 8-10. As far as im concerned 8-10 should be small. 12-14 medium 16-18 large etc. They are all different. There doesn't seem to be any standard.

I had a blissful ride out to the Avon Valley Steam Railway station at Bitton yesterday with my wife & son no 2 on their bikes and daughter behind me on her tagalong. We returned to Winterbourne to the May Carnival.

My younger son is always very hard to prise away out of the house to go on a ride, he spent the first half of the outward leg moaning on like Judd in Poldark. We have to keep away from him but can still hear him griping on 100yds behind us. But then he gets stuck in and seems to really enjoy it.

He's 11 and has a Carrera CX bike which he was very excited about when he first got it.

I discovered that I cannot reach back and tickle my daughter when she's on her tagalong, like I used to when she was in her bike seat.

This is probably a good thing insofar as her staying on the tagalong is concerned. Especially when I go over roadhumps without warning her first.

Its not that bad, once you're out there. Always looks worse looking out at it.

Just going to make some Chai. On a side note, my grandparents their 51st Wedding Anniversary on Saturday!

Amazing, really. 51 years throughout the 25 that Granddad spent in the Army, all the moving and postings and raising two kids and all that jazz. Wonderful, really.

Oh to know such unequivocal love...

Spent most of the latter morning on the phone...
I'm patient when I shouldn't but I closed an account three weeks ago, I get reminder for payment in my emails this morning..
I calls using 08 Wizard (Android, gives the free alternate number for some of the big companies who don't supply 0800 numbers)
Sorry, your account hasn't been closed..
10 mins later, hopefully shut...
10 mins later, same bloke....can we interest you in reopening your account...
