Well we have had a lovely day. Daughter has spent her cash. I have bought my first pair of cycling shorts. Yes they are mens, yes they are XL but they fit and when Alan and I go out on a ride they will protect me a bit more. One day I will fit in lady shorts.

How has every one else been this fine Saturday?

What's it matter sizing wise, male or female? Sizes are only a rough guide anyway.

I won't tell you what size mens cycle shorts I started out wearing!
I can now get into a ladies 16 though they are tight (but I like them that way), an 18 is more comfortable.
I need to make a concerted effort as I've been stuck weight wise, for ages

I can still wear a pair of jeans I got in '83, no problem. I have since then had to move up two sizes in order to get a pair that will actually come up the legs. They tend to get stuck on the legs about two thirds of the way up. Put the old pair over a new pair and they are actually larger, for the same size. Its the sizing that's out, in some cases by a fair bit.
