Funny you should say that. She told me to lose weight at the beginning of Feb. Which was fair enough as I was approx 31lbs heavier then. She, the doc, is wider than I am tall. I told her that I was having probs losing and that I cycled. I told her that I got on the train to Gt Yarmouth and would ride home, the pretty route. She listened to all of this, then suggested that I stopped drinking (I don't drink), stopped smoking (I didn't start) and started to take some exercise. She also suggested that I cut back on red meat (Vegetarian). I know that doctors are busy folk but a cursory glance at my notes might have saved her a 90 second lecture.

Like it when you're told to consider a bit of exercise.
Last time I got told that I was doing a 1,000 miles a month, to & from work, working outside in a manual job. They were doing cholestoral tests at the local Asda.
Got told my blood was too thick!! & it was causing problems for the testers.
Casually mentioned, when more exercise was mentioned, the commute distance and that the work was outside.
