I saw a cow running down the canal towpath in abingdon when I was staying with my uncle and aunt decades ago. I was only 10 at the time. The cow had run away from the local abattoir qnd the farmer was chasing it.

Chased a cow that had escaped, they'd lowered the ramp to check it was still in the back. This was just outside the town center and despite managing to get a rope round each of its legs, and pulling them from under it. Someone couldn't keep hold, so it got off. Brain falling out as it ran about. At this point I left it to the "experts" transporting it and went back to work.

My family and I were in sutton park one day. They used to allow farmers to graze cows in the park. A cow chased my daughter an I into the toilets. Cows don't like me. MR WD had to resuce us. He's used to cow's

Nearest pub is two miles away. You've made me aware of some of the missing nightlife. No real loss, that particular type of nightlife though.
