You couldn't handle the truth!
I joined a Hindu sect once and I recall the Guru saying something like that. The only truth is that there is no truth and I can handle all the sh;t that flies around this world just fine.

Not been on here much this week, as bought a brand new house last weekend!! Been renting with my brother for the past 6 years, but its time to get my own pad again. Should be built in December/January.:hyper:

Have been spending the week fitting in sorting out the initial mortgage and solicitors papers, before I go away to the Lakes with @Rickshaw Phil tomorrow. Took me 4 hours solid last night (including a trip to Staples when the bloody ink cartridge ran out on my printer at 7:45pm, when they close at 8PM !) My god I don't remember there being this much paperwork the last time I bought a house :tired:

I would advise anyone thinking of getting a mortgage to avoid the Halifax, as they have been a right bunch of Barstewards and refused me, not for having anything bad on my credit file, but for not having enough good on there!! Basically seems that they penalise people who are good with their money and don't need credit!! Seems all arse about face to me, but what do I know.

Thankfully there are building societies out there with more common sense and so should hopefully have the ball rolling now on the purchase.

Was hoping for some rides to get the legs ready for the Lake District Hills, but no time to even contemplate it and so will just have to hope they play ball on Saturday for the 1st ride!!

Winter's not done with Melbourne yet: it was about 1.5°C when I rode to work, and tomorrow is predicted to be about the same. I had one of my rare pppp... I mean: ppppppp... no, I just can't say it, on my way home today, damn it! Time to change my old tyres on the bike I used today, because they're too worn to stand up to glass-ridden city streets.

Not too far to go when it did go, I hope.
Only another 28km . I knew I should have replaced those tyres a bit sooner.

This morning's commute to work was a bit colder, about 1°C.

@MikeG will be back on soon. He's also building a new new house.

The Halifax got worse when taken over by Lloyds. Bad enough when they became a bank, worse still when they became part of HBOS. Never thought they could get worse.

Enjoy the weekends rides.

Many thanks. We will have a ball up there, as we always do
