Morning all. I would say knit me one SL but MrsD is a demon with a ball of wool and those chopstick things of various sizes... I was fearing a IanDuke kebab last time but apparently they were for knitting with really thick wool and getting big holes?

Waiting in for my parcel containing a new camera at the moment, should be here this morning then I can walk the dog and get out for a ride... crossed fingers it turns up early rather than later..meanwhile 6Music on radio and:cuppa:

My daughter gave me some lovely wool for Christmas but I haven't got around to knitting with it as it's really fiddly (got ribbons etc through it).
Now I have the time.....

MrsD saw that a friend she had made on holiday had posted a picture of her bald head after removal of a brain tumor on her Facebook. She was surprised because the woman hadn't said anything about it previously but by next morning she was putting a freshly knitted hat to keep her friends shaved head warm whilst recovering in the post. :bravo:

Sorry, that wasn't a dig at your time comment @ScotiaLass, I just read it back and thought you could take it that way, just a random example of MrsD's knitty knotty prowess that came into my head then...

Speaking of mice, I almost stacked it riding to work this "morning"***, because a rat ran over a shared path just in front of my front wheel and I only just missed it. Don't be fooled by that quaint Australian city myth: Melbourne in the 21st century is a heaving, sprawling metropolis full of garbage and rats.

*** the usual pre-dawn.

@victor I am pretty sure on one of those pest control programs on the tv they reckon you are never more than 10 feet away from a rat. Often see them in the car park at work in Birmingham city centre at stupid o'clock in the morning. It could be said they are fellow work colleagues.
The lifestyle we live with fast food is a god send of free food for them. Even living a small town out of the city I have seen them in the garden a couple of years ago when we had a very harsh winter. They were trying to get to the bid feeders.
Modern Living = Increase in rat population
We should get Mrs D and her air rifle to knock the odd one off
