I was into Meccano myself.Well, if you were to do Flemish bond in lego, you'd need as many 4's as 8's. Then you'd run a sequence of 4/8/4/8/4 and so on, then in the row above have an 8 centred on the first 4 but lapping 2 onto the 8. Then a 4 in the middle of the 8, then another 8 lapping 2 onto the 8 below, acorss the 4, and 2 onto the next 8. And so on. Corners will get interesting. Queen closers in Lego? Hmmmm.
I preferred mechano.
