I dont nother with contracts. I've got a PAYG phone. Don't use it much, just in case of an emergency

Cheeky wotsits, other half upgraded a week ago, they told her the deal.............better than the one she had in mind. She agreed, when she came to check it online, she was on higher tariff.
Phone EE they say shop has to deal with it, we go to shop, shop say they will call, needs manager to authorise it. They don't call.
Phone EE they say shop has to deal with it.
Catch manager in shop she says she has no recollection of deal and needs to speak to person that sold it. She disappears in back of shop for ages, comes back says can't do it but can offer you original deal or will look in to it and promises to call today.
She doesn't call..............surprise, surprise.
Anyway call EE again speak to guy who say shop has to deal with it. As we have contract he says they must honour it etc. Round and round in circles here.
I then say before going to Ofcom to make complaint I want to start complaints procedure with them.
He says wait a minute, will speak to his manager, he comes back to say they will honour the deal.
Don't let them try to fob you off

It was they way I reckon the manager thought by quoting a few terms we would accept the lower offer and go away.
Also the call the call centre kept trying to push it back to the store.
It was funny how when complaints procedure and Ofcom and the misleading tactics were mentioned, they seemed to have a change of heart.

It did seem to get things moving
However something did need sorting out, it was going on for too long

They do that on purpose to hope that you will drop it and go away. By standing up to them and talking about offcom, and complaints, they get themselves I gear and realise your serious, so they sort it out because they don't want head office to hear about problems in they're particular shop.
