We used to have to go up to the sawmills without the basket but with large potato-sack sized bags, see the yard manager then go over to the exhaust pile, shovel sawdust into about five bags which you then balanced on the empty basket holder... You could get two 'in' the basket bit, thump them down into shape then balance the other three on that... it was downhill back to the shop... and I suppose if there was an accident there was plenty of sawdust to mop up your blood with...:smile:
We used real flour:laugh:

Sawdust was more used up here in the pubs (manky people)

I'm safely ensconced in stephec towers now.
On the way back I had the pleasure of a nice young lady and her baby next to me, so ended up passing some of the time playing peep and 'pass the inflight magazine.'
It's a year or two since I've been on one of those small prop planes and I'd forgotten how bumpy they are coming into land, you should have seen the guy near me, his face was hilarious.
