Yes, but the area that snows in Winter is still fairly small. It may or may not be larger than Switzerland. If I can motivate myself next weekend, I may go for a bike ride to the nearest of these, Mt Donna Buang, which currently has some snow. It's normally about a 148km round trip.

I did a google map search of Victoria & perused the area.
My relies lived in Mornington.
Uncle was going to sponsor me to go live there in the 80's, but it was a bit scary at 18 or 19.
Six months later I joined the Forces, not scary at all.
