We haven't exchanged contracts yet, but it is in our own interests to get the lawn down to manageable depths. Some of it was sternum-high on Monday when we started cutting, and after calling in reinforcements in the shape of a friend's sit-on machine, then re-building the starter motor of the reinforcements, we have just raked up a pile of cutting bigger than a small family car. Ants!!! There must be 2 dozen nests on the lawn, none of which were happy to have a mower over them. I also mowed over 2 mice, both of which were perfectly happy afterwards, having just been pushed down into the deep thatch of the grass.

No she did some last year as well. This year was the hardest. She is doing welsh, and french as well as sciences, maths, english and many more.
