Hmmm, I have something similar with Pernod.
I tried S.C. once. Vile stuff, far too sweet for my taste.
It wasn't too sweet for me, mind you we'd had eight or nine pints of Guinness before we started on it.

Very slow! Don't think I will ever learn my lesson
I worked out that lots of alcohol made me feel very bad indeed when I was about 19. I learnt my lesson so well that I haven't needed to remind myself since.
