Well, you don't have to be jealous of me, Teafolk! Given the choice between sub-zero commuting temperatures and what I just got for my ride home today, which was just over 36°C and humid, I'll take the former any day.
When it's very cold, you just add clothing. When it's stinking hot, you can remove all your clothing , and it doesn't help much.
