Had email from the bloke we are supposed to be homeswapping with. In the last 5 weeks - including the 2 weeks he was at home while the kitchen was being rebuilt - he hasn't had time to pack a single thing. We won't be moving this weekend now as he is too busy looking after someone else's allotment for a fortnight. He's thinking about half term now. I'm thinking of calling the lady who contacted us the other week, desperate for a swap.

For the record. We are totally packed up. The only things that are not packed are the things we need to get us through the next few days before moving. I have gone right off our swap person. I really didn't know that allotments needed such intensive 24/7 care either.
