Thus far it's always been a complete break. However, last year a Cypriot man we know mentioned he had a Mtb I could borrow and he now knows we are on the island so if I get talking to him I'll see if that's still a goer - I brought my bibs, top and mitts this year just in case. They also have a type of Boris bike here and I may have a punt on one of them to see what they are like just to see a bit more of the city than I usually see on foot. I always hike into the hills, both on & off road every day in Oct as an alternative exercise so that will def get underway this week as I like to explore the little villages - Mrs B lies in the sun doing her OU work while I hit the trails so it works out quite well.

Tourism in the only real industry on the island but it is all based on the coast. However, the Cypriots live in the hills so that's where you see the real Cyprus and get a chance to speak a little bit of Greek.
just a little (don't know what to call it) but I once lived in Cyprus (Akrotiri) I believe it was, not remembering exactly as it was between 2 & 4 yrs of age.

Both parents were in the Royal Signals.

Only ever been back once, as a tourist.

I go over to Germany a few times a year for work and they usually are really sound people, I always have a good time.

Did you sit in St Marks? We ended up in a bar a few streets away near the grand canal, and even there it was something like £6 for a small bottle of beer.

I've been getting subtle nudges about going again for the past few years, luckily they're subtle enough for me to pretend I've missed them.
Yes, we sat in the Square in the evening as we didn't have to buy anything. During the day we walked the alleys alongside the canals and found little bakeries where we could have food/drink at a reasonable price.

Know what you mean about pressure. With Mrs B it's Paris - beer 9 euro when we were last there - muggers!!

One of the guys we meet here every year was a forces baby. His parents went back to the UK but he stayed.

It's nice out by the bases. We've driven out there a few times over the years and if I do get cycling here in the future I will take a ride over that way.

just had 10 mins in a bike shop in Chorlton on my meal break.

Jeez - there are so many good lookin' bikes these days.

This shop only seemed to do Cannondale & Raleigh with a few Giant & a couple of Kinesis bikes.

Not that I am in a buying position or really need another, just browsing.

Saw a nice Cannondale (well 2 really) a CAAD 8 & a CAAD X. In the shop they will stay though.

Sun's out in Manchester...:sun:

It's like marriage...
You have one at home but the array of tempting goods you see..

Lovely aroma wafting upstairs...
Breadmaker is almost ready..

The rain in Spain has fallen mainly on the Men's World Individual Road race..
nice and slightly breezy here, I'm tempted to head out again but this morning was well enough pour moi...
