I am now supping my 2nd cup of tea of the day. I had one earlier this morning and then got in the car and headed for IKEA but my beloved Rover Streetwise died on the A14 bit of the journey. It threw all its coolant over the carriageway 
We managed to coast it to an emergency layby and call the AA who turned up in 40 minutes as we were very precariously parked there. The lovely AA man (who rides a MTB everywhere when he's not at work) towed us to a safe place and then put the car on his portable trailer and towed us all the way to Horsford where our mechanic has his workshops. Our lovely mechanic, Peter, then gave us a ride to Enterprise car hire as he didn't have a spare loaner for the weekend, or at least not a reliable one that was capable of taking us, without further incident, to Harrogate on Sunday.
We have now hired a little Aygo for a week but we are hopeful of only having it until Tues or Weds as Peter is quite hopeful that the Rover is fixable. He's going to take the head off on Monday morning and he has a Rover that he's breaking at his yard so we might just get lucky.
We've just got home and immediately put the kettle on. I am finishing my tea before taking the dogs for a walk. I still feel like hell but at least I am coughing better now. I am getting very low on honey though. I think that today I have sucked 5 or 6 Opal Fruits and have had 1.5 cups of tea at time of typing. A rather horrid day but tea is making it seem better.
