Scraped up Hardknott pass in a car once...
it's one mutha of a steep hill..
Stand at top and all you can smell is clutches melting...

Almost burnt my clutch out up there in an old Rover I had! Had to reverse up a steep bit when I met a broken down car and recovery lorry loading it up, so no way through. Got a bit worried when smoke came out of the bonnet!!:ohmy:

Also saw a flat bed lorry trying to get up and sliding down backwards as it tried to get around a bend, with wheels spinning!

@Rickshaw Phil has cycled up them both though! :wacko:

It was entertaining watching cars taken their turn to head up...
Mrs Mhor got up no problem although dunno how our old Mk3 Escort felt at the time but she never stunk....( the car I mean)

Kudos to the man for ascending...
I blow out doing some bumps:rolleyes:
