just locals heading 5 or 6 miles into what is the country for them, park the car and a mile walk..a day in the country. It is nice with some cracking tracks to wend you way about plus a fishery which does hot food and tea/coffee. I'd rather this than off to the seaside towns.Lots of grockles on the main roads here, mainly heading back eastwards, nose to tail at walking speeds with the kids that haven't managed to kill each other yet whining in the back. Luckily we know the lanes well out here, enough to get around without touching the main stuck tourist routes. Now lost tourists is another matter, we just chop up the ones we find fresh for putting in the freezer later...Don't bother with the older tougher ones.

here today so we went for a walk and sat in the garden at Kings Lock Cottage and had a cream tea.
Its only 10 mins away from the built up area with a Visitor Centre with tracks going all over the place. You can do them on a bike although one or two a bit rough for a road type bike...The Bob hybrid is handy. The views from where I was today is grand..Sounds lovely
Sounds nice
