And they always talk about Bourbon being improved by the spring water, so I figure I have that element covered.

Same here, both in cold weather, which is drying, as well as with torrid heat and humidity in summer. Not nearly as bad as you have, but hot enough to be uncomfortable. Often long hot spells have the convenience of being dry as well. I had my Father's recollections to go on for the heat in and around the Peninsula.

Yeah, I guess its true, about the cold being drying as well... its the mind associating heat with dryness. I lived in new hampshire, new england for about 2 years and all I can remember is the glorious glorious snow lol.... not the spine curling cold winds nor the cracked lips & dry skin. and that's probably bcos its just sun & rain and more sun & rain for most of my life :biggrin:
