Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I'm going to stop the Greek for a while. Today I did 2 lessons which gave me 20 words to read/write/speak - 7 of which were new to the speech part for me.

I already know how to use probably a few hundred words in speech so its interesting to add new spoken words whilst learning to also read/write both old and new. I am concentrating on building vocabulary at the moment but I have ordered some more materials which should help me string it all together.

I'm a bit  now as some of the spelling has been difficult over the last 2-3 days.

It's not good to overdo it. The brain tends to shut down.

I could really do with a nice cuppa, my brain is hurting from writing covering letters for job applications

It is; the one that's giving me the trouble is for a packing job for veggie delivery company, whereas i've always done admin type work in the past. The covering letter is going to get me the interview rather than the CV, so it has to be special.

Always talk, about the positives. What is important in an admin job. Then relate that to a packing job..IE in admin, you need to work as part of a team, be meticulous, need to work on your own if and when needed. How can that equate to a packing job? Again you need to work as part of a team, be meticulous, while at the same time you can work on your own and make decisions accordingly.

Also talk about your interests. Tell them about you because this is a one shot deal.

Thankyou, great advice - I haven't done the team/working on own initiative angle so will work that in  I've talked about sport hobbies (cycling, etc ) as that shows fitness for lifting and carrying, mentioned their website praising diverse stock they carry and noting customer testimonials showing that care and attention to detail in processing orders is required.

Will add your 'team' bit in now. Thanks again!

Your most welcome. Another thing to remember is that although qualifications and the ones you have are important, they want to know about you, because it is you the person that you are that is more important. They dont want someone who sounds depressive or negative. They want someone who is happy and will be able to get on with a wide range of people so your personality has to show through. So dont negative. Sound upbeat.
