I use scissors in my right hand because we never had left handed ones when I was growing up.

I just grew up using things like scissors with my left hand and never realised they were actually meant for a right handed person. There used to be a shop that sold things for left handed people and it was only then that I realised how everyday things tend to be stacked against a left hander.
I never realised you could get a ruler for a left handed person!!!!!
It is strange how your body and your mind just copes with life and is able to adapt when things are actually against you.
I remember hearing tales when I was young how people years before me were given a hard time for being left handed. Apparently in school you were forced to use your other hand to write. It goes to show the lack of knowledge from years ago and how cruel it must have been to force a poor person to do the opposite to their natural abilities.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

My mother was one of those people. When she went to school, the teachers tied her left hand behind her back and tried to make her use her right hand. She went home and told my grand mother, and she marched up to the school the next day and told the teachers off. They left my mother alone after that. Did you know you can also get cheque books for left handed people. ? To late now of course. People don't use cheques anymore.

Back from the armpit of Scotland. It's good to be home with :cuppa: Played spot the smile while I was there and Aberdeen won again. My score zero. What a miserable city.

Good evening Rbreid. See you should always stay at home. It's much better that way. I never go to Brum now unless I have no choice.

Thanks WD and if it's any consolation to you it has rained in these parts all day for a change.
