Are you off on your bike today ?

Not sure, it was well icy round here last night. They were even warning on the Midlands news last night about being careful on the commute this morning on icy roads. It is a lot milder now, but we all know how dangerous the roads can be in the sheltered areas. I suppose main roads are always ok, but riding bikes on main roads isn't the best thing, and as I can be in the lanes within less than a mile that is the way I head. There lies the risk though of untreated icy surfaces. Reckon I will leave it a bit longer.

Don't blame you. I prefer side roads and lanes and they def aren't gritted here.

It's a toss up of the traffic which is best avoided, or doing yourself and the bike damage in a safer environment that becomes equally dangerous. This weather we are having is becoming a real bore now. It's like......yeah you've made your point, now go away and let us get on with our enjoyment.

I would rathrr do a bit Indoors than nothing at all. Even when they grit the roads here I think they have settings wrong as all the grit seems to end up in the hedges, or the side of the road

Actually it has brightened up a bit. There have been quite a few of the local guys coming off recently and one broke his wrist a few weeks ago, so you wonder if it is worth it. You could actually put yourself further behind as opposed to just losing a bit of fitness and accepting it.

Thats the way I see it as well. I would rather hang back till better weather rather than risk it. Some people think that's being a wuss but I dont care
