Tea? (Part 2)

Oh yes. I will be painting in the lounge/living room for a few days. It's a big room with a lot of heavy furniture and wall hangings etc so progress is slow, never mind the fact that the plaster had a few hairline cracks that had to be fixed during the prep. However, we can already see how nice it is going to look so it will all be worth it. Only one bedroom left to do and I will do that in January. I'll never undertake painting the whole place in one continuous effort again as I'm now getting fed up and knackered with it.

Yep, advice I got as a young lad when I wanted to do everything now! "Eat your elephant one bite at a time". Good advice and yet still need to remind myself of it regularly

Good advice. I fell into the trap of having told Mrs Blue that I would do it all between the end of our holiday and Xmas. At the time it seemed like a good way of putting the job off yet again but it came back to bite me as I hadn't bothered to calculate how little time our 5 weeks in Cyprus would leave us to do the job in the alotted time. Oh well, still learning as well as living.

Just got back from a BBQ. Another Christmas social event out of the way.

I'm hacked off - consultant promised me he'd give me a date for removing my gallbladder (been 14 months now).
He wants me to lose 4 more kg and see him in 3 months.
I know it's better if if I'm lighter but I bet if it was HIS gallbladder he'd have had it out by now!

Rant over....nursing a cup of tea then off out again!
