@the_mikey How would you fancy coming down the A629 on a bike?
Its not that steep, but its just over two miles long.As long as I don't have to cycle up the steep hill from Elland, then the downhill to Hudds would be ok!

You mean you went to Mytholmroyd and didn't check out Britains longest continuous hill climb!!!I don't know of any hills that long around South Glos, they're all short and steep, but not very long..

ColinJ would be turning in his grave, were he dead!
What did you think of it?
20 Minutes possible do you reckon? It was long and mostly gentle with some slightly steeper bits, and one of the lower bits looked like a descent, but really it was still a climb. I plan to return to this hill with the road bike when winter has passed.
I recommend December 26th!Erm I hope you don't mind me saying this, but isn't it a wee bit early for Christmas decorations ? It is only 1st dec after all. Think of the dust they will attract.

By the time you get to the 26th, you've missed Christmas Day, so you might as well put them away again for another year ...![]()
Sounds good to me. I get them down ASAP. I hate the dam things. I must be a bit of a scrooge.

Bad luck for the year ahead if you take them down before Twelth Night, Women's Christmas, Little Christmas.
