I suppose it depends doesnt it. I had a few run ins with teachers as well. I had one maths teacher who used to pull my pony tail really hard while I was kneeling on the floor. Nasty old witch.

Way back in the 1970s, we used to have a games teacher who insisted that all boys get in the communal shower after rugby 'to get all that mud off'. Of course he used to stand and supervise to make sure that the washing was done properly. I'm not sure such intense supervision would be considered acceptable these days ...
