Near Auchterarder in Perthshire about halfway between Stirling and Perth.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
My mum has all the photos. There are hundreds of them. She lives in BIrmingham. It was her birthday a couple of weeks ago. She is 92 and does all her own cleaning, cooking and gardening even.

I bet she has great stories and memories from those 92 years. The social changes alone in that time never mind the technological and medical advances have been staggering.

My mum is very funny. She has lots of stories about being a child in Ireland. And being Irish to be honest she says the most ludicrous things you could imagine.

Oh I can imagine alright, one of my daughter-in-laws is a Kerry girl from Portmagee. When I've been over there visiting at her folks wee croft have on more than one occasion had to take a walk to regain composure from laughing so much:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Perhaps he was suggesting that there is currently snow in Todmorden, about 5 miles down the valley from me?

It was certainly pretty cold when I walked over the local hills this afternoon and there were still frosty patches in the shadows from last night as the sun began to set.

I'm curious now - I'll walk round the block and see if I can spot any snow on the hills ...

Brrr ... it's cold enough, but the back street is clear. I was going to walk a few hundred yards to get a view of the hill opposite but thought better of it.

The BBC forecast is for a brief fall of snow in Todmorden but for it to be washed away soon by rain.

If you are that desperate to know what it looks like round here in snow, here's some I prepared earlier. A few years earlier!
