Oops - I meant 'British', not 'English'! It isn't a mistake that I make often because half my family are Scottish; I have spent too much time south of the border. (The problem is that the weather in Scotland tends to be even worse than it is in England!)

One of my colleagues is well educated and has a very high opinion of himself, very shallow person, he uses 'f' instead of 'th' and when on the phone he uses 'er' quite a lot, gives away his upbringing which isn't better than everone else as he would like us all to believe.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Not this year in the Garioch. Has been a superb year of blue skies and what rain there has been has been through the night. Best year for soft fruits I've ever had, even had some Goji berries ripen this year, almost unheard of this far north. Reckon we were owed it though as 2012, bar the spring, was abysmal.
Today was our first taste of a little bit of snow this year, about an inch in the village, about 2 inches in the surrounding area. Bus journey this morning was interesting, over an hour for 12 miles. Several very large exhausts attatched to small cars decorating the ditches. Nothing wrong with the roads but lots wrong with the driving IMHO. Beautiful blue sky all day made it real pleasant to be out and about

It's been very sunny but chilly here in London.
No sign of snow, hurrah!

Last week I told someone to make the most of the nice weather as this week they were going to get snow. If my memory is correct and I think it is this person said they weren't going to get snow.
