We've had a lot of hysteria in the paper in the last week or so due to False Widow spiders being found in the area.

On the one hand they're saying it's Britain's most venomous spider and on the other they're saying: oh, it's only as bad as a wasp sting .

Don't know whether to be worried or not as personal experience tells me that an ordinary household spider is as bad as a wasp sting.

There are lots of nast horrible creepy crawly things I australia.

When we were in Cairns we shared our accommodation with a little lizard/gecko thing (it was on the ceiling so hard to tell exactly what it was) rather sweet little thing

Eight is definitely very very bad. Along with things that slither. Snakes are screaming bad.

There's a lot of scary animals, insects and fish in Aus. Here's a picture of my favourite fish (taken by a photographer on a Mike Ball Liveaboard when we went out to the GBR and Coral Sea)
