I'm riding it with a mate - there are 1000 people signed up. We want to be among the first to set off. We both know that amongst our experiences of the day will be the knowledge of what it's like to be overtaken by 998 cyclists.

(Edit: That's a very clunky sentence but my brain refuses to help me, you know, fix it. Or something.)

Dog has a new party piece! There are a load of small standing stones on the edge of the mini roundabout in the landlords' yard to stop numpties (aka shop customers) driving over the grass, squishing the flowers, knocking down the cherry tree and falling down the well, and I've finally taught Snipe to leap over them. It's only taken three years, bless.
