I remember being 16........it was the time of Watergate and the first miners strike in the UK - lots of power cuts as I was revising for my O'Levels :giggle:

I remember power cuts, I would have been 7 or 8 I think. Living in Belfast, we had added industrial action due to sectarian disputes. Usually, it was the bakers, leading my mother to attempt to make bread.

Less said about that bread, the better. My Dad made a label for it that said "Mothers Cried. Fine White Dread".
