It's interesting - academia is full of people like that. I must have worked with at least a dozen over the last 15 years. It is as if a university is providing some form of community care for their likes.

Yes, I met a few in my time at Uni. I met lots of lovely people too, but there are always a few who are a bit too full of themselves.

The really funny thing is that in the meeting where he introduced himself as Dr R..... P....., there was me (BA, BSc, MSc, gave up the PhD when I decided I didn't care enough any more), and Vicky (also gave up on PhD, so must be BA, MA too), David, a classical musician, (and BA), and Tom (Degree in Horticulture). And that's just the qualifications I know about. If he thought we were going to be impressed by his Doctorate, he was sadly wrong.

FFS. I'd never dream of signing myself TheDoctor BSc (Hons)
Unless it's on a passport form, or someone's daft enough to give me as a reference or something...

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Honestly, I just couldn't get the word, I got all those others stuck in my head and couldn't get past them.
I had that problem the other day. Unfortunately, the word I was grasping for was 'hypochondriac' but the word stuck in my head was 'necrophiliac' ...

People don't like you suggesting that they see their doctors rather too often, but it beats you hinting that they have a thing for the deceased!

Neither would I!

If anyone can, darling, it's you....

My god, it makes Beryl look aerodynamic...;)
My thoughts were that if it needs to be made road legal then I could just use it as a body shell. Tuck the MGB axle under the front, get a matching wire wheel rear axle and then fit my motor, controller and batteries to make a tiny 40mph truck.

I have asked the seller if I can have a look at it. No reply yet.

Also, I once won a book-of-my-choice at school, for a drawing of God.

I depicted Him as a sort of disembodied smiling head with a comet-like tail, and wearing a Chinese style conical straw hat.

I chose Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
