Puzzle game procrastinator!
One of these days I will have a day where I don't have my arm in a soil pipe.
I'm sure that you will - it's the kind of thing that we all eventually get bored of doing!

Somebody name a few good movies please-feeling bored to death:blush:
Recent ones I have watched include-
Brave - animated Pixar film, quite good if you like that kind of thing.
Paulie - Alien comedy/sweary type film,
Looper - Time travel slightly  type film.
The Expendables 2 - lots of old men (no offence Rocky) :gun: :boxing:
Men in Black 3 - Good, much better than the 2nd one.
Safe - Another :boxing: :gun: one with Jason Statham (my double)

Anything there to tickle your fancy? :giggle:

Having done a load more plumbing I think I will head down to the workshop and fettle my lathe.

But, you can't. Your lathe doesn't have a soil pipe to put your arm into....

;)

Talking of soil pipes, did Wol get her drains unblocked?

Not yet! It is an outside drain fortunately, just for the water draining off the patio. Since the problem started it has been too cold and/or wet for further investigation. It may need a new section of tube. I cannot see where the holes should be in order to try to unblock them. If it stays dry until the weekend, I may be able to remove large chunks of solidified muddy yukky messy detritus.

Lathe fettled!

The three jaw chuck has a recess in the back of it that should locate on a boss on the face plate to centre it, except that the boss was 1/4" smaller in diameter then the recess.:banghead:

Each time, in the past, when I have changed or removed the chuck I would have to spend ages trying to true it with a dial gauge and numerous small taps to find the point where it was close to centered. Then nip up the bolts and check it again, find it has moved, tap tap tap and test again and nip up and find it has moved...

Now I can place the chuck on, nip up the bolts and there it is, within 0.06mm of true so very little fine adjustment to get it spot on.

I also cleaned the swarf from the lathe for the first time in ages so I can see it again!^_^

I was at the Pump House today. The soup of the day was Parsnip and Apple. It sounds a bit weird, but was delicious, accompanied by two thick slice of wholegrain toast. ^_^

Part of the afternoon was spent thinking up names for dogs. There is a "Bark in the Park" event later in April. We were preparing a Quiz on the subject of famous dogs. As it was a multiple choice type Quiz we had to think up some doggie names to go with the real names of famous dogs, like the first dog to be launched into space.

I resisted the chocolate cake in the café, and the Tyrells crisps, but not the Divine White Chocolate.

Oh, earlier today I was trying to shoo a starling out from the bedroom. There is a nest in the gable end where there is a hole behind the decorative barge boards that I can't reach to repair. It must have worked its way in through the roof, into the loft, and out through the unboarded bits of bedroom ceiling.

It was head butting the window to try and escape so I ended up opening all the windows in the hope that it would find one of them. It did eventually.

I don't think it was trapped indoors for too long as there was no poo on the floor.
