Yep... real proper one, all wrapped up and preserved. He is privately owned, one of only a couple in the country that are in private ownership, I work as a housekeeper for his owners

Amazing. But a privately owned mummy? Is that legal? Any science been done with him? (err how do you know it's "him"? - if that's not too indelicate a question).

lol! he-for he is a he- went on a holiday to the Egyptology dept at manchester uni a couple of years back. Turns out he was a 17 year old lad, and from the hyroglyphs on his circophagus (wooo!) he was a trainee priest and his name was Horkhebhis. (Now known affectionately as Herbert )
