We're back from a lovely day out, and the sausages are defrosting, and the Yorkshire batter is resting. I'll start dinner soonish....

We had a :cuppa: at the Railway Museum, and had to ask four times before the girl serving actually managed to serve us with two teas. Too busy chatting to her workmate. :headshake:
I would have bought a bowl of soup and a roll too but I was ignored in favor of chat and gossip so I gave up.

:unsure::secret: My next door neighbour has started building a house in his back garden.

Did he think that because it is Easter, no one would notice?

Just back from the hospital. Mother in Law has had a stroke. She's in the William Harvey Hospital - we are very impressed with her care. The NHS gets a lot of bad press, but this seems a really good professional place.

Thanks for all your best wishes.

:cuppa: needed now
I'm glad she is getting good care. Strokes are really nasty things but the quicker they can be treated the better the recovery prospects.

So its summer at last

I cleaned my bike this afternoon and when I was out in the yard I thought to myself its not a bad day today the snow has gone so lets go out for a ride and do some nice big hills and get them legs moving :headshake:

So off I went, after about 10 miles I started coming across some snow like this:

Well thats not so bad I thought so lets press on.

About 200 yards from where that photo was taken is a big down hill, the snow was piled up to the top of the stone walls at the side of the road, did I take that hint no of course not

So I rode on and a bit later I got to a road closed sign, pfft thought I not closed for me on a bike so off I went and I got to this:

There was a gap down the side so I got through that and got back on my bike to be confronted by this:

That road is a small back road on a steep down hill for about a mile with a wall on one side, the entire road was under snow as high as the wall all the way down it  WTF !!!!!!!!!!

So I decided to go another way not surprisingly.

By the time I got home after 30 hilly miles my leg muscles where frozen solid and so were my feet so when does the summer weather begin exactly.
