Afternoon all!

Been a bit nippy today... :cold:

I've had a very lazy dinner - a reduced pasty, half a tin of beans left over from yesterday, and some instant gravy...

And, of course, :cuppa:

I have decided I dislike plumbing even more then electrical work!
At least electrical wiring can be tested before going live, and doesn't leak all over the floor! Nor does the neutral cable stink of poo!

Which idiot invented octagonal or lumpy nuts for compression joints? And why can't they make the nuts so that each of the eight pairs of flats have the same 'across flats' dimension? And why can't they have a standard size? :cursing:

There there. <strokes head comfortingly>

You'll have a vacation at the weekend. Just think about the car boot sale....

<edit, reply to Speicher>

None!

We work Bank Holidays anyway, but Monday is my day off, so I'll work Friday, and be off Monday as usual.

There's a big Model Railway show on at the race course building, and the big car boot sale at the race course has restarted for the summer, so that's one day taken care of, and the Model Show will be indoors.

If it's not nice, then the rest of the time, we'll decamp to our favourite coffee shop, and watch the world go by, and covet their umbrelllas. Just chilling out, and no plumbing!

Finally, no more leaks. Every service valve has been changed, a couple of compression joints have been remade, and a 32mm-40mm waste adaptor has been chucked where the sun don't shine.

I think I am ready for a :cuppa: and a few Maltesers.

Normally by this time of year, it would be warming up nicely. Time then for gardening, and gentle walks and getting out and about more.

I have been invited to a wedding in June. I really do want to go. Three hours driving on the motorway, if there are no delays on the M5 or M6, highly unlikely in my view. The wedding is at 1pm, so it is either an early start, or paying for (very expensive) accomodation the night before. The hotel chosen by the couple is fully booked on the Saturday night, so I would have to travel back comparatively late in the evening. The two people getting married have been living together for at least five years.
