.....or you could put it in a compost heap :giggle:

Apart from the vegetable peelings, fruit peelings, etc, I do not waste any food, possibly a miniscule amount. Thank you Wocky for that link to the compost heap site. I know that some people do not put bread etc on their compost bin, which made me think that rice was not a good idea. I know that the things in the compost bin have to be well mixed, so I did not want to put all the rice in one big go.

I did not know about sealing the pile!

I have not visited an Ikea store since um... 1993. Have I missed anything?

Not to visit a Ikea Store has been my New Years resolution for the last 5 years, unfortunately the first week this year I broke it and went to Ikea to buy a Dimpa Bag for the Brompton. Never again I'll send my boy instead!

^_^ I have found the missing (?) part from the hosepipe. Thank you to Night Train for the guidance in the right direction.

This connector is needed on the pressure washer, and I had  forgotten that I only had one. I had used it to connect the hose to the pressure washer, and that is why not enough water was getting from the tap into the hose, and therefore into the pressure washer. In mitigation, I would like to say that cos of the very wet summers what we have had for the last umptytwo years, the hose has not had a close relationship with the tap.

I have now photographed it from every possible angle with a ruler for guidance. This is in case it is lost on its way to the Ironmongers.

I will be purchasing two, possibly tomorrow.

@Rockay... Where do you go swimming? I've tried all the local pools over the last 20 odd years. Copthall, Muswell Hill, Finchley Lido, Picketts Lock. I used to go to Southgate my local one for a early morning sauna and swim, but haven't been for a couple of years since they closed it for refurbishment. Not that I'm a good swimmer, 10 lengths and I'm done for!

I have swum in Iceland.

Why, had the freezers all defrosted and flooded the store?

We are members of the Laboratory gym at Hendon. I don't do weights or running machines but the pool is 25m long and pretty quiet. I used to swim with the masters group at Copthall but not to any competitive level. Mrs R used to be an international standard swimmer (at university level and at masters level) so she leaves me in her wake

When ever we travel we always try and find a pool to swim in....in the last 24 months we've swum in Adelaide, Brisbaine, Cairns, Banff, Prague, Vienna.

Wow! I'm very impressed.

Sounds like your dog is turning into a cat. The path between her chair snd the food bowl is well worn by our Merlot.
