I think somebody would be more of a tit if they wanted to see something, but were put off by having to to pay for it. That is of course if they had the disposable income available to pay for it.
How much of a tit am i if i don't mind paying for stuff i can afford that i don't want to see? If it's more than a five i demand the BBC stop showing Wimbledon.

There has to be some kind of balance - cycling should (in my thinking) be free. I appreciate market forces are at play, but the team presentation should be a celebration of the event. Not a money-making exercise. There will be those people who will pay, but they should not have to.

With regards to disposable income, I think sport should not only be accessible to those with a certain level of wealth.

How much money is the event going to make? You have not got a clue and nor have I.

Going to a show is not cycling, it is going to a show.

Cycling although cheap compared with some sports is not free to do, spectate in most cases other than track yes.

You seem obsessed with money, attributing worth only to those things that make money which is, in my opinion, a very sad reflection of your world view; I'm imagining you are impressed by those who earn vast sums and despise the poor.

You have me so wrong. You should not let your imagination get the better of you.

How come it is free if Yorkshire had to pay to get it here.

like every town there is multiplyer effect..money spent locally is a huge boost to the area as money comes in and spent locally. No tickets needed. The benefits are to both organisers and region.
