I would guess he'll stay in green (so long as he finishes!) wherever Hushvold finishes - assuming he doesn't catch the breakaway that is! But I'll see if I can work it out.

Wikipedia suggests it's points to 25. I make it Cav can finish 15th (8th in the peleton) and still be in green what ever Hushovd does.

I think Cavendish has 11 points on Hushvod at the moment. If Hushvod gets in the finish points then I reckon Cavendish must finish within 9 places of him to retain green.

Cavendish has just said it was never his intention to go for green (!!!!) but that now Columbia switch focus and, for him, it's a matter of carrying on until Paris and to see what happens. Fingers crossed he makes it. Tomorrow will be tough for him.

Sorenson's face when he won was a picture: complete ecstasy and disbelief. Probably the only TdF stage he'll ever win. A wonderful moment and well deserved.
