Now, my tastes aren't as alternative as they once were, I like most things with a good rhythm, some catchy guitar hooks, and distinctive vocals.
With that in mind, here's a few Swedish gems that you may or may not know.

Starting with an epic:
Kent - 747. This song needs to be listened to from start to finish. Rinse and repeat.

Kent - Blåjeans. A bit more immediate than '747'. Very early-Radiohead.

The Lost Patrol - Alright. Catchy, feel-good, cool video. What more do you want in a pop song?

Sahara Hotnights - Hot Night Crash. A proper girl-band with tunes. Loads of them. Whodathunkit.

The Ark - The Worrying Kind. Shockingly this song only came 18th at Eurovision 2007.

Randy - Razorblade. Punk rock with a big slice of pop thrown in. Most overlooked band of all time. Fact.

The Peepshows - Count Me Out. Another slice of pop punk. It's shocking that The Hives made it and these guys never.

For swedish music, none come close to the quality of bob hund.

A couple of personal favorites:

Not a great fan of the band but i was in a music video by Caesars (or Caesars Palace as they were known then). Pretty poor claim to fame as im only in the background walking through a shot but my ex had a slightly more memorable role that i didnt know anything about until i watched the completed video :ohmy:

That's Norway. Sweden is mainly known for impeccably crafted power pop and rock. Here's two of my favourite (and very different) Swedish bands:

Electronic duo, The Knife - excellent video for Pass This On

And the mighty, mighty The Soundtrack of Our Lives (TSOOL):

Swedish music is VERY good and much underrated.

Ulf Lundell is (best described as) a Swedish Bruce Springsteen and his music is excellent.

Oops,messed it up,sorry:blush:But i'm not a fan of hiphop,rap and stuff like that:headshake::smile:
Actually, while Norway is indeed famous for their black metal, Sweden aren't too shabby either. Melodeath was essentially invented in Gothenburg.
