That's true. I was planning to drive to Elderslie, get on it there and see how far I could get, well half way so I could make it home again.

Easier to go the other way. A wee (slow) jaunt down to Lochwinnoch for a coffee and then back to Paisley with a tailwind.

That's a nice idea - when I tried it before I was rubbish. Where would I get a coffee in Lochwinnoch? Never got that far before

Another exiled Yorkshireman. I told our lass last week if she keeps insisting on having a coffee half way through a ride I'd prepare a flask. I hate paying for tea or coffee when I have everything at home to prepare and take a flask with me. ^_^

Hehehe. I'm a Yorkshireman, corrupted, made captive and held in Paisley against my will as a sex slave by a fair Scottish maiden.

Or something like that.

A FAIR MAIDEN??!! This is PAISLEY we are talking about here!!

Aye but she's from the posh bit ;)

Or so she keeps telling me.

I just have a 'thing' about Paisley after I nearly died in the hospital there and then spent about the longest (and most painful) 3 weeks of my life stuck in ward 26 afterwards! All hail the NHS there if nothing else!

To be fair, there were some nice houses overlooking the back of the Hospital and beside the helipad (apparently the helipad was there long before they built the houses next to it.... but the residents complain about the noise of the helicopters, despite buying a house next to it!!).

Makes sense why you've not been out on your bike then. Still fitness and stamina levels should be up to scratch.
