Sorry....why is this not a stage win? (No idea what went on as I fell asleep from 2.30 until 6ish after today's mishaps)

They rode, but there were no bonus seconds or an intermediate sprint awarded - the lack of intermediate got the Eurosport commentators a bit confused.

They still picked the pace up for the last 2 laps, and don't forget Wiggins and Millar were pulling at a full-on pace. For me though, the Columbia train was amazing in the final 500 metres.

It's not exactly a stage where you want to upset the crowds - the city centre circuits give the fans more than just a blink-and-you-miss blur. Milano is also pretty cool because the sound is kept in by the buildings so the atmosphere feels even better than it does in Paris IMO.

Not really.

Interesting read. Sounds like some might be viewed as not playing the game.

"Maybe what happened yesterday to [Pedro] Horrillo had an influence on our decision. We wanted Rabobank to cross the line first, but someone didn't respect what we said and started increasing the pace."

Yeah, it did seem like the big boys throwing their weight around. Clearly Cav didn't agree from his comments afterwards, but he was diplomatic enough not to say so directly. Cippo obviously wasn't impressed!
