sunday under mountains which are named effimdd

Glorious morning, dithered about the house just enjoying the sunshine. Out for lunch, dropped into the golf shop to get putter re-gripped after too many years sitting in the bag. Might try playing again some day soon so I had a few practice shots on the store range, surprisingly reasonable result.

Long walk this afternoon before the drizzle turned up.

I do remember that my threads were criticised for their strange titles (they weren't strange btw) but this is a word salad.

Do we have another troll in our patch?

recent threads have been in honour of c m doughty, esteemed for his travels in arabia deserta

How cool is that! You weld robots together for a living.

I’ve always thought the ultimate bragging job would be piste patrol/avalanche control.
“So what do you do for work”
“I throw dynamite out of helicopters”

On more ordinaries, I’m finishing a stud wall and connecting some pipes.

Tuesday shall see airoporto drinks from this end.

connect to oz via vpn then go to the sbs site and create a free account to watch

the basic paid for nordvpn let's you choose egress point, choose oz

never go to sbs without first connecting the vpn to oz, as it'll detect you aren't local and plant a cookie on your browser to block you streaming, using an incognito browser window helps avoid this as you can just close the window to forget (otherwise you'll need to clear the sbs cookies before it'll let you access again)

i also use vpn to get iplayer while out of uk, very handy

Done and TYVM. Now watching LBL. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Afternoon
Couldn’t be ars*d to get up for todays club but finally managed to get to the garden centre to purchase Mrs W birthday present. A plant pot of all things mind it was over a hundred quid. Did get out for a ride once the sun appeared felt slightly overdressed with 2 layers on.

Loch Ness Etape finished by 1100, I'm normally just finished 2nd coffee by then!
Enjoyed the route, very well organised and great support from the stewards round the course.

It's always been well organised, glad you liked it. First time I did it I was gobsmacked when the piper piped us over the top.

Evening folks,
funny old day, went for a ride in the Surrey Hills with the old bike crowd. Chilly start at tooearlyforaSunday o’clock. Got to the start and had a message to call my cousin, rang him to find my uncle had shuffled off in the night. Debated bailing on the ride but didn’ see the point, glad I did it. 60 miles being the furthest I’ve ridden in a good while, seem to have got the Masi pretty well sorted now. Then went for my belated birthday lunch at the old dear’s and checked she was doing alright after the news about uncle.
Now relaxing at home before another early start tomorrow.

Decent hilly ride with a mate. Might have to step up the pedalling as his boss is coming over from Holland next month and is going riding with us. We want to be able to pass the Dutchie on the left hand side...
