Just an update on the Green People organic sunscreen I posted about upthread.
We have just got back from 8 days cycling in Provence which involved very intensive testing of these two products.

I give both a hearty thumbs up. The first day, I failed to apply right up to the edges of the armholes of my sleeveless dress and yep, I got a bit burnt. But just in the narrow untreated strip and I was lucky it wasn't severe. The last day, I failed to reapply sunscreen to my legs at lunch time and get a bit pink on my calves. Again, lucky it wasn't worse.
But everywhere else got a very gradual steady, even tan without a hint of pink. While I am in principle opposed to getting any kind of sun damage, given I have very pale freckly skin and we were out in 28+ degree Provencal sun all day long, every day for 8 days -- and I have never ever succeeded in getting any kind of tan without first going through a red lobster phase and I only tried that method ONCE as you can imagine -- I am very very pleased.
