What it means is that third party apps will no longer be able to display data relating to you to anybody but you.

So RideWithGPS, if you have it connected, will not be able to show your rides to anybody else, only to you. The same for any other app.

He mentions I think any 3rd party app like veloviewer wont be able to use strava data :-(

I could understand Strava not sharing your data if you haven't consented to it but you have to authorise the sharing of the data so where's the issue ?

I think what they are doing is stopping sharing data altogether and dropping the authorisation part which seems to be the issue. DC Rainmaker suggests it'll affect Veloviewer and other 3rd party apps and coaches too.

Surely it’ll still integrate with Garmin? If not they have lost me as a subscriber.

I'm guessing it'll still read data from garmin/wahoo et al. just not transfer that data onto 3rd parties for processing :-/
