Its down to the algorithms each site uses, the most accurate way to get speed distance and time (and this varies from site to site) is to use a speed sensor, as this should accurately measure the distance covered, gps plots can be several feet out and jump quite wildly sometime (hence high max speeds).Interesting as I have had the opposite result when comparing Mapping with and Android phone and a Garmin, Garmin always shows faster time when in reality we were wheel to wheel. Also Garmin always shows more climbing.
I have a Bryton now, does like a Garmin but much cheaper. It seems to match the pace part now but the Garmins always show about 10% more on the climbs.
Try uploading data to different sites, I can upload the trace to Garmin connect, Endomondo, Bryton and Strava, all the stats vary!
